So if your in Florida and you put in 95 then you will get an area code in your state. My regular cell phone plan also starts with the same 438. The system assigned me a cell phone number starting with 438 which is exactly the same as our cell phone companies area codes here. All the system wants is the "area code" so it can assign you a local number.įor example the area code in Montreal is 514 and 438. Once you open the app for the first time it will ask you to register as well as for your phone number.You do "NOT" have to give your regular phone number. I've been testing it for the last 3 weeks and it's been very good. The app is called Textme (not textme plus) just the regular textme. The Magic Jack App is very good but below is an alternate solution that will allow you to also send/receive text messages, receive calls, and comes with caller id/voicemail.
